Home/Services/Medication Management

Careful prescribing, built on a real evaluation.

Medication management starts with understanding you, then choosing the fewest, safest steps that move you forward. No rushed refills, no one-size-fits-all.

Medication Management

It starts with a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation that maps your needs and outlines a clear plan.

Starting medication is a significant decision, so Michael takes the time to make sure you understand the purpose, the expected benefits, and the risks before anything changes.

For patients already on medication, management often means reviewing what you are taking, simplifying where possible, and adjusting doses thoughtfully rather than adding more. The goal is the smallest effective plan, monitored over time.

Michael treats a wide range of conditions this way, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, and OCD.

Common questions

Good to know

How is a nurse practitioner able to prescribe?
In Connecticut, psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners are licensed to evaluate, diagnose, and prescribe medication for mental health conditions. Michael is board-certified (PMHNP-BC) and has done this in private practice since 2015.
Will you just hand me a prescription?
No. A prescription only follows a full evaluation and a shared decision. Michael explains why a medication is being considered, what to expect, and the risks, and you decide together.
Do you offer medication management by telehealth?
Yes, for appropriate patients across Connecticut. Some situations still call for an in-person visit, and Michael will let you know if that applies to you.
